Privacy Policy

Overview

Scorewright ("the App") is developed by Zack Schiel. Your privacy is important. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices. The short version: Scorewright collects no personal information, uses no analytics, and never sends your game data to any server we control.

At a glance: No accounts. No tracking. No analytics. No ads. Your game data is stored on your device and privately in your own iCloud account — we have no way to access it.

Information We Collect

Scorewright does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. You do not need to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal details to use the App.

All game data — player names, scores, game profiles, session history, settings — is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage, and optionally synced to your personal iCloud account. None of this data is sent to any server we operate.

iCloud Sync

The App uses Apple's CloudKit private database to sync your game profiles and session history across your devices. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is encrypted by Apple. As developers, we have no access to any user's private database — we cannot read your game data, your player names, or your session history.

You can disable iCloud sync for Scorewright at any time in your device's Settings under your Apple ID → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud. If iCloud is disabled, the App continues to function normally with local-only storage.

In-App Purchases

Scorewright offers a one-time in-app purchase ("Scorewright Premium") that unlocks additional features. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not see or store your payment information, Apple ID, or purchase history directly — Apple manages the transaction and reports only the entitlement status to the App on your device.

Analytics & Tracking

Scorewright uses no analytics services, no crash reporting services, and no advertising frameworks. We do not build user profiles, track your activity across apps or websites, or share any information with third parties. There are no third-party SDKs embedded in the App beyond Apple's first-party frameworks (SwiftUI, CloudKit, StoreKit).

Children's Privacy

Scorewright does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the App does not collect any personal information from any user, it is suitable for users of all ages.

Data Storage & Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device and optionally in your personal iCloud account. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. To remove iCloud-synced data, you can use the "Reset All Data" option in the App's Settings, which deletes all profiles, sessions, and preferences from both your device and your iCloud account.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
