Terms of Use

Effective date: April 8, 2026

Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Scorewright ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. Scorewright is developed and maintained by Zack Schiel.

License

Scorewright is licensed, not sold. You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, subject to Apple's Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

In-App Purchases

Scorewright offers a one-time in-app purchase ("Scorewright Premium") that unlocks additional features. All purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit and are subject to Apple's terms. The Premium unlock is non-consumable, meaning a single purchase unlocks the features for your Apple ID permanently and supports Family Sharing.

Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple and subject to Apple's refund policy. You can request a refund directly through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; attempt to extract source code except as permitted by law; use the App in any unlawful way; or attempt to circumvent in-app purchases or other access controls.

User Content

Any content you create in the App (game profiles, session history, player names, share cards) belongs to you. Scorewright stores this content locally on your device and optionally in your personal iCloud account. We have no access to your content.

Game Name References

Scorewright allows you to track scores for any tabletop game. Any references to specific published game names within the App's template descriptions are for descriptive purposes only under nominative fair use. Scorewright is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. While we strive to deliver a reliable and polished experience, we do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from data loss. You use the App at your own discretion and risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zack Schiel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of game data or disputes over scorekeeping. In all cases, total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App and any in-app purchases in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any features at any time.
